On Red – Orange I Comment

I started to consider RED – ORANGE and shades of these warm hues more abundantly as the tree outside my studio began to turn. Our greenery fading and slipping away to warm tones of orange, red and yellow.
A former student sent a wonderful card with RED 032 C pantone as the cover which is close to Pantones textile color 18-1651 TPX and I thought about how I love the pops of red and orange going on now in the home décor scene. Paired with smokey taupe and beige one can delight and accent any room in the home. Commercial projects come to life with lively pops of this amazing hue. I also love the use of powerful indigo blues with saturated oranges. One can really experiment with pops of color of such vibrancy and saturation.
Here are some suggestions.
I love it with gray greens like Pantone 16-6008 TPX and vibrant purples like Pantone 19-3514 TPX.
The Red tone can range from cherried hues like Pantone 19-1760 TPX to burnt oranges like Pantone 17-1353 TPX.
Coral will continue to delight in fashion for the home and our bodies so the forecasters predict.
Just ponder the changes that invites in a neutral palette.
I love coral color Pantone 16-1541 TPX. Works well with blue hues like Pantone 19-4118TPX.
We all know there is no wrong brown but I love this dark Pantone 19-1016 TPX and who could forget
for your walls the amazing BARK by Benjamin Moore.
Dare to use pops of reds and oranges, if you haven’t already!
